PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
DVA is a solvent blend designed for use with all acrylic-based conformal coatings.
It is particularly used for AVR80 BA acrylic coating. Thinners are mainly used to dilute the
coatings intended for use in dip or spray coating.
DVA R is a specific diluent that allows to reduce the amount of diluent in the mixture with
AVR80 BA to achieve greater thickness on the PCB when spraying with a gun (1:1 mix).
APPLICATION
Spray coating
When solvent-based coatings are sprayed, the higher pressure at the nozzle forces the
solvent contained in the coating to evaporate. Therefore, to avoid the formation of cobwebs (i.e. immediate drying of the coating
when it leaves the spray gun), additional solvent must be added.
DVA should be used at levels between 2:1 and 1:1 (coating:thinner) depending on
application. To avoid the formation of microbubbles in the coating, wait 2 minutes before proceeding with the
spray.
