Description :
The desiccant or moisture absorber is a "pouch" containing one or more materials that capture ambient moisture, usually bentonite clay (or equivalent) or silica gel-based.
Its function is to preserve moisture-sensitive components (MSL for Moisture Sensitive Level) from ambient humidity when it is in a moisture barrier bag.
The unit of measurement for desiccants is the "UNIT" in accordance with JEDEC standard J-STD-033C.
Its use is detailed in the J-STD-033C standard.
